LandLocked Series
LandLocked is a series of small ink drawings based on photojournalism stories from the Edmonton area that have happened since the COVID-19 lockdown. These images are referencing local news stories linked to photojournalism to highlight the loss of local connections which the internet doesn’t fill those voids. I am a fan of democracy and the use of journalism to support community communication within our urban-scapes.
The drawings are intended for sale as digital reprints an affordable option to decorate small spaces but they are also intended to be reproduced as large mural scale installations for gallery and museum spaces.
True to all my work, all titles are numbered but with the LandLocked Series the numbers do represent dates of the news stories.
